Things in my life have been crazy lately.
Confusing things.
Hurtful things.
Things I will never get over.
But yes ... I really will ... in time, with God's help.
In times of stress, I have always let God get me through. It's always been true, and it's still true now. Another thing I have always done to help me get through difficult times is my needlework. So a crazy quilt just seemed appropriate.
I love crazy quilts. Several years ago when I was researching my family tree on my mom's side I found a distant cousin who had been doing the same thing. She had a crazy quilt that our great-grandmother had made. I have a picture of it somewhere. I'll find it and post it here.
I tried to take a picture of the wall hanging I'm working on. It's just 4 blocks, but I couldn't get the whole thing in and get a good picture, so I decided to post pictures of a couple of the blocks.
This is my crazy quilt wall hanging in progress. I'm really enjoying it. I have already pieced my blocks and I'm now in the process of embroidering the blocks. That has been a learning experience, but I'm really pleased with the way it's turning out so far.
